Thought you might enjoy some pictures from halloween. We participated in the chili cook-off at the Petty's again this year. It really is so much fun! Micah won FIRST place for his chili. It was good! And Haley went trick or treating around the old neighborhood.
Last week, we had a great opportunity to get away to the beach. We all love the beach & it is such a relaxing place for us. Micah & I got to celebrate our FIVE year anniversary. Wow, I can't even believe it! Enjoy the pics.
sorry about the break from the blog world ... we have been playing! check out haley's play-doh airplane. does it look like one to you? it sure was flying.
Today, Haley is celebrating her birthday. She is TWO! She is such a sweet, fun & smart girl. I'm so blessed to be her mom. And I know Micah feels the same way about being her daddy. We have so much fun together --- it is PURE JOY. God has blessed us beyond our imaginations!!
Today, Haley got her first haircut. That's right --- she's turning TWO on Sunday & we just got her haircut for the very first time. And just so you know, I haven't even touched it with scissors --- probably cause I'm a wimp & afraid that I would totally mess it up. Thought you would enjoy some pictures of our morning out at Sweet & Sassy. You can't tell in the photos but then even put glitter in their hair when they are done. SASSY!
Haley is a big helper! And she is always offering to help but saying "Help you, help you." So, as we learn to be parents, we put her to work. First, vacuuming -
I just realized that I never downloaded the pictures that we took at our Memorial Day festivities. And of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share these fabulous pictures with everyone. I mean afterall, I'm a proud mom, aunt & friend!
haley loves corn on the cob!
lia seemed to really enjoy it too!
noah wasn't interested in eating as much as playing!
and they all loved the pool
I'm not really sure why but Ben was there, he just didn't make it into the pictures. My guess is that he was splashing in the pool just a little too much! Save the camera. It's a little bit like "save the whales" but not quite the same.
lives in Orlando. So we got to visit with Page & her mommy, Ellen. Ellen & I have been friends for years --- I mean YEARS. I hope she doesn't ever reveal pictures. It was sure fun to see them! PS. Do you see how green their grass is in Florida?
The end of last week, Haley got to hang out with her cousin Noah! They just love each other & love to play together. In fact, a lot of times --- it is much easier on me cause she has someone to play with. Check 'em out --- watching Elmo!
I really hate the idea that people (you!) might hear our sad news this way but since I know that I don't always see everyone & some of you found out this way, that I better tell you this way. On Friday, I went to the doctor for my 4 week check-up & unfortunately, the baby didn't have a heartbeat. :( We are really sad & at the same time, trusting God & believing that He knows best. And we are definitely reminded about just how fragile life is & how much of a miracle babies are! We are so thankful for Haley Boo! I did have to have surgery --- that was done on Tuesday & I'm recovering really well. Micah & I are both grateful b/c my mom was here already to help with DRIVE so she ended up being my nurse. And a huge thanks to Rachel for taking Haley for us during the day! I have great friends & family. I don't know how I'll be emotionally as the days progress --- we'll definitely appreciate your prayers. THANK YOU!
Haley is big helper! And she is wanting more & more to know what I'm doing in the kitchen. So, I decided that she could start helping. Look at her go! I'll be letting her fix meals on Tuesday & Thursday nights from now on. Ha! :)
